The flower girl is a young girl between the ages of three to eight. In the wedding, the flower girl walks up the aisle with a basket full of petals of flowers. The petals which are usually rose petals are spread or scatter on the way of the wedding aisle. This prepares for the entrance of the bride.
If the bride and groom know many sweet young girls, there may be one or more flower girl. The petals are meant to bring good luck to the bride. So, the more flower girls mean more good luck.

For younger flower girl, she needs many practices. She may get disoriented and distracted easily. The rule is to make her wedding roles a game or fun. So, she is calm, and relaxed in the wedding day.
